hellllooooo - it’s almost the end of october, and i’m looking back on this links roundup from july, on the cusp of a lot of grief and uncertainty. i haven't edited this draft, and i think i want to keep it as it was since i last touched it, to preserve how/who i was in that moment in time. on july 15, 2006, twitter launches, and 11 years ago on july 18, 2011, i signed up for twitter to see what my middle school classmates were thinking about.
this month i ached a lot, and way more than i wished they were, tweets were my atomic unit of thought this month. when safe, let it hurt; i was looking at a video of some turtles & trying to remind myself to let myself be held by community care.
thinking about how life is short but the night is long, that this is a soon-to-be prefigurative life, and in a defense of slowness, how essential it seems to live at one’s own pace whenever possible.
